Are meals included?
Yes. Your event pass includes:
  • Heart starter coffee and tea in the morning
  • Morning Tea
  • Lunch and
  • Afternoon Tea
Can I bring a guest/companion/family?
Of course! We want to spread the amazing work happening throughout the On Butterfly Wings community, however every attendee needs to be a registered participant.
How do I reserve my spot in the workshops?

We will send you an email a few weeks prior to get all of your preferences. At the conference there will be lots of space for everyone to join in on their pick of workshops.

Does the registration fee include accommodation or transport?
No, please make your hotel and travel arrangements separately. See all the travel information on the Travel Page.
Make the most of the conference though by coming with some of your colleagues. Jump on the Facebook page to see if anyone wants to carpool or share accommodation HERE
Will I receive confirmation of my receipt?
Yes, you will get an immediate email with your registration details and tax invoice. Don't be concerned about bringing it with you. We will all your workshops and everything ready for your arrival.
What types of payments are acceptable?
We accept payment by credit card (Visa, Mastercard and American Express)
If you are lucky enough to get your school to cover your entry you can also request an invoice be sent to you or your school. Just get in contact with us to arrange this option.
Is my registration transferable?
Yes, but you will need to email your request to with the current name on the registration, the new name, email, school name and phone number.
What if I have to cancel?
Full refunds will be available for cancellations before 10th June 2020. More details can be found on our website:

Travel & Accommodation

How do I get to the conference?
Please head to the TRAVEL page for more information. Also, don't forget to get on the conference Facebook page to see if there is anyone else heading to conference from your part of the world.
What is the closest airport?
Sydney airport is a 15 minute cab ride from the CBD.
Are there other public transport options?
If you are coming by train the most convenient train stations are Town Hall, Museum or Martin Place.
Are there discounted rates at the hotel?
Yes, Hilton Sydney have given us discounted rates, head to the TRAVEL page for more information.
Do I have to stay at the Hilton?
Of course not. You are welcome to stay anywhere you like.

Complaint resolution policy?
Student Engagement will make every effort to resolve complaints within a reasonable amount of time, and in a confidential manner.
Are there special prices for education students?
Glad you asked! Yes, the On Butterfly Wings community is supportive of educators at all stages of their career. If you are currently studying to become a teacher get in contact as there is an incredible amount of value in attending the On Butterfly Wings conference.

Will you be photographing and videoing?
Yes, we are proud of the work of the members of the On Butterfly Wings community and we want to shout about it from the rooftops!

The On Butterfly Wings conference is held in a public space so participants, exhibitors and others may photograph and film conference activities. Student Engagement reserves the right to use photographs and videos taken at the conference with your image or likeness in future printed or online marketing materials. We also encourage attendees to take and share photos and videos with their own social networks.
